How to report a player on FACEIT
Published
Learn how to report a player on FACEIT, add useful context and use Reportify to prepare separate reports from one matchroom panel.
Reporting a player on FACEIT starts from the matchroom or the player's profile. Choose the relevant match and report reason, then add details that explain what happened.
This guide covers the standard FACEIT process and how Reportify can make reporting players more convenient.
How to report a player through FACEIT
- Open the matchroom and find the player you want to report.
- Open their player menu and choose Report player icon.
- Follow the reporting form and select the reason that matches what happened.
- Add the relevant details and any supporting evidence.
- Review your report and submit it.
You can also start from the player's FACEIT profile. Choose Report player, open Matches, and select the relevant match.
For the official instructions, see FACEIT's guide to reporting abuse.
Add context that explains what happened
A useful description identifies the action you are reporting. Instead of writing only “griefing,” describe the incident and point to the relevant round.
For example:
Round 8: the player deliberately blocked the doorway while teammates were trying to leave. The attached clip shows the incident.
This is an example, not a template to copy into every report. Describe what you actually observed.
Before submitting:
- Check that you selected the correct player and match.
- Choose the category that fits the incident.
- Select the relevant rounds where the form allows it.
- Add screenshots or a video link when they help explain the report.
- Check that your description matches the evidence.
For griefing or toxicity reports, include the relevant context rather than relying on a category alone to explain the incident.
Report players faster with Reportify
Reportify is a Chrome extension that brings report preparation into one panel inside your FACEIT matchroom.
Open your matchroom and press Report players button located under the map. Select the players you want to report from either team.
Use a fast report
Choose a shared report category for the selected players. Before submitting, you can change the category for an individual player if their behaviour belongs in a different category.
Review your selections and start submission. Reportify submits separate reports for the selected players in sequence.
Only select players whose behaviour you intend to report. A shared category is a convenience, so check that it applies to each selected player.
Add details when you have more context
Use the detailed report options to select rounds, write a description, attach screenshots or include a video link.
You can also dictate your description in English. Review the transcribed text before submitting it.
If you already have a clip, Reportify provides a shortcut to Streamable. Upload the video there separately, then paste its link into your report. Reportify does not record or upload the clip for you.
For smurfing reports, you can search for FACEIT accounts to include as additional context.
Keep track of your reports
Reportify saves drafts locally and remembers reported players for 30 days to help prevent duplicate reports for the same match.
You can report the same player again for an incident in a different match.
Does submitting a report guarantee a ban?
No. FACEIT decides how reports are reviewed and whether action is taken. Reportify helps you prepare and submit reports; it does not decide the outcome.
Screenshots, clips and specific descriptions provide context. They do not guarantee a particular decision.
Reportify is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by FACEIT.
